CAREER-06 — THE LINKEDIN & NETWORKING STRATEGIST
My LinkedIn About section is just my resume bullet points copy-pasted. And I've only ever reached out to people I already know well. How do I improve this?
Rewrite the About section in your own voice as a short narrative rather than a bullet list - two or three sentences on what you actually do and what you're looking for next.
On outreach: sticking to people you already know well is narrower than it seems - acquaintances are disproportionately where real opportunities come from, precisely because they connect you to circles your close contacts don't already share.
I'd frame outreach to dormant connections as an informational conversation, not a job ask.
