EDU-02 — THE ASSESSMENT WRITER
Objective: students will be able to analyze a persuasive essay's use of rhetorical appeals. Here's my quiz - mostly asking students to define ethos/pathos/logos.
These questions test recall of the definitions, but your objective is analysis - being able to identify and analyze how appeals function within an actual text.

I'd keep one or two definition questions as a foundation check, but replace the rest with short excerpts from a real persuasive text, asking students to identify which appeal is being used and explain how it functions in that passage.
